bring out the soapbox: so a couple weekends ago i went out to a professional soccer game here in kansas city and the name of our team is “sporting kc”. i was telling my sister about it a few days before, telling her i was “going to a sporting game” and she asked what kind. i always knew it was a funny team name but it hit me then, like who names their sports team “sporting”? just makes for all kinds of confusion.
anyways… i knew it was going to be freezing, as in the high was around 45 and there was chance of rain, so i threw out any ideas of wearing the teams’s colors and instead threw on multiple layers and hoped for the best. i must say, this jacket from j.crew is probably going to be one of my best purchases (plus i got it 50% off!) because it is made of down so it is basically a comforter that you are allowed to wear in public. yes, sign me up.
turns out we did not go into the game after all (long story) but in the time before the game and well into the game that we were there hanging out with friends, it sure was a great time!
