i never really gave a thought to the color emerald until pantone picked it as the color of the year for 2013. after they announced it, i immediately decided i should add some green to my wardrobe and picked up a cardigan, only to find out after wearing it a few times that it was not a good color on me. i swore it off until this past weekend when i was at the j.crew factory store and they had my favorite pants in the hue for half off; i decided i had to give it another chance!
the realization: i actually can wear the color, just not close to my face; i should have thought of that earlier!
are there any colors or trends that you swore off and later came back to?
ps: the shopgirl said that the emerald colored winnies in-store only right now but should be added online soon.
pss: this shirt is a little bit sentimental to me because it is the shirt i was wearing when my husband proposed to me!
