hi everyone! my name is darcy and i blog over at a memory of us! i have been blogging for about six months. mk is the one who introduced me to the wonderful world of blogging when we interned together a couple years ago, so she will always hold a special place in my heart : )
mk asked me to guest post for her while she was over in italy in vacation, and i just couldn’t say no. i hope you are having so much fun! i can’t wait to see pictures and hear about the trip once you are back in town :).

a little about me. i live in kansas city and am recently engaged! i have been sharing inside information to my wedding planning over on my blog as we prepare for the big day! i moved to kansas city last january to start working full time. ever since I started working, i have been more careful with my shopping. i try to buy things that can work for the office and for going out. i also try to only buy things that i can wear multiple ways. enter the black and white striped dress from express. mine is from last season, but here is their current option.
this dress works for all seasons. for warmer weather, i tossed on a blazer and tory burch flats, as shown here. in the winter, i paired it with colored tights and my favorite faux fur vest, as shown here. when the weather started to warm up, i added riding boots and an infinity scarf, as shown here.
with spring coming, i am looking forward to pairing it with some wedges and a statement necklace for a night out. i also think it would be so cute with a fedora for wandering around the farmer’s market!
something interesting i noticed in these pictures is that i always pair the dress with red; a red blazer, red tights, and red boot socks. i am making a mental note to pair it with a color other than red for spring. the wedges linked above are yellow and the necklace is mint so i think i am headed in the right direction.
thank you so much to mk for having me today! i hope you’ll join me over at a memory of us. we can be jealous of her trip to italy together ;).
i would love it if you would follow me on gfc or bloglovin’!
