i know that i have already worn this dress not once, but twice on the blog but i am seriously starting to think that a standout dress is just as important as a little black dress. i knew i wanted a piece that was loud enough to be noticed but also sophisticated and showed my personal style, so this dress was an easy pick. sorry to showcase it yet again, but take this as proof that you need a standout dress in your closet if you do not already have one. some of my favorite choices would be this one, this one and this one.
fashion week season continues! two weekends ago, kansas city hosted its own fashion week and i was lucky enough to be invited. unfortunately i missed out on most of the events since we were traveling back from italy but i am so glad that i was able to catch the last show when we returned.
i was hoping that a skirt i had recently ordered would arrive while we were gone since i had the whole outfit planned around it in my head, so when we came home to an empty mailbox i was scrambling to find something to wear. oh, and jetlagged. so i rolled up my sleeves (literally) and reached for my go-to dress.
