back when i was in high school and freshly licensed, i used to go to j.crew on the way home from school at least once a week (true story). usually i would just window shop and try things on, but sometimes i would find a piece for such a great price that i could not pass it up.
well one time i was there and saw this dress. i fell in love with the madras patchwork print and had to have it. until i saw the price tag! so i left without it but kept dreaming about it. well on another visit i saw it again found that my prayers had been answered, it was on major sale!
every summer, this dress comes to mind because the print just reminds me of a picnic. i pulled it out over the weekend for a family party and to me it felt like summer had finally begun.
