happy friday everyone!
it can be so hard to go back to work after a long weekend so i was lucky enough to have a work retreat the past two days to shorten the week but i hope it went by smoothly and quickly for all of you and that the weekend treats you well!

one: fourth of july weekend. ever since i was young the fourth has been my favorite holiday and it was nice to be able to celebrate it with a pool party and so many of our best friends this year.
two: new music – over the past weekend i discovered a new favorite and i swear it is not just because he played briefly for the kansas city chiefs – “leave the night on” by sam hunt.
three: work outings. in all honesty. public accounting can be pretty rough, but then you get together with your co-workers for a work retreat on the lake and battle them in sand volleyball and it is all worth it.
four: if you have not yet seen jersey boys you must! my husband has seen the musical and was afraid i would be disappointed by the movie since i had not seen it and did not know any of the music but i can say that it was hands down one of the best movies/musicals i have seen!
five: i love a good sale. i have always felt that buying something at full price is crazy because most often items go on sale. i was lucky enough to snag my favorite j.crew fluted skirt on sale and the espadrilles i had my eye on for $20 each over the weekend. while that sale has ended, the nordstrom anniversary sale has opened for cardholders and will open to the public soon, definitely one of my favorite sales of the year!
