not going to lie (and you can even ask my husband), i was kind of in a funk slash bad mood all weekend because i had a major case of FOMO not being at new york fashion week. it is a dream of mine to go!
my favorite part has never even been the runway shows, despite them being incredibly fabulous, but rather the street style. seeing real girls doing their best with what they have and pushing their own boundaries is the biggest inspiration to me. one of my favorite bloggers shea marie always nails street style. she has impeccable taste and always wears items a little outside the norm but she rocks them. proof: making the awkward mid height nike socks look covetable! this look of hers from nyfw is so perfect that i wanted to recreate it, and did it all for less than the price of her shoes because good fashion is for all budgets.
