SHADES OF GREY.

SHADES OF GREY.
this week is supposed to be a cold one here in the midwest as a cold front moves in from alaska.  to make sure i am prepared, i pulled out some of my cold weather essentials: coats, boot socks and my beloved bean boots.
this grey coat is a new purchase for the season.  since i grew up in california, i really don’t own coats and while i hate that they are so expensive, i have found that buying quality coats is so important to really keep warm.  i am loving grey this year and the leather trimming on this one got me, so good!  as for the duck boots, i had been wanting them for years and finally got some last year and am now convinced everyone needs a pair!  they are nice and warm, completely waterproof and super comfortable.  just so you know, they sell out every year, well before christmas, so i recommend buying NOW.  i had actually wanted the tan and navy pair but those were already sold out by the time i purchased in early december last year, and the only color available in my size was black.  ironically, this year the black pair is already completely sold out, but there are still some left in the tan/navy and tan/brown combo as well as some new colors!

j.crew and sperry also make some great duck boots and have more variety when it comes to colors and designs.  sperry makes an all-black pair if you want ones that look like mine, as well as a cute navy striped pair while j.crew makes cute shearling lined ones.
