on our second day in chicago, we spent the entire day on our feet, walking all around the city seeing different areas: lincoln park, wrigleyville, old town, downtown. my favorite was lincoln park; definitely my chicago dream neighborhood! the brick townhouses, the adorable boutiques and fun restaurants had me falling in love.
dressing for travel during the winter can be difficult but i have found that layers are essential. i layered a simple striped turtleneck under a soft oversized sweater and you better believe i hid some fleece lined tights under those coated black jeans and had a coat on over this look that was only removed when we were in buildings and for these pictures 😉 also, after this trip and our trip to new york last december, i have decided that bean boots are the best shoes for winter travel. they are 100% waterproof, surprisingly light, warm and really comfortable. i never complained about being cold or uncomfortable even while walking around for the entire day, and that is saying something!
