whoa nelly, i haven’t done one of these “friday five” posts since valentine’s day! clearly real life got in the way 😉 luckily, today is the last official day of busy season (praise!) so things should start getting a little more steady around here.
anyways, some of the top things from the past few weeks…

ONE: i actually really like valentine’s day, i think it is a great reminder to be thankful for all the love we have in our lives. usually we go out but this year we decided to stay in and it was one of my favorite nights together! definitely thinking of making that our new tradition.
TWO: also celebrated “gal-entine’s day” 🙂 since valentine’s day isn’t only for those with significant others, my best friend and i decided to host a galentine’s day brunch for some of our close friends. it turned into close to six hours of girl talk and catching up which was so nice and then we ended the evening with some selfie stick action haha!
THREE: finished up a really good book – where’d you go bernadette? this had been on my list for two years and i never got around to it until now! the ending had a bunch of twists and turns that had me turning the pages so quickly!
FOUR: our alma mater’s scholarship ball. this is always one of our favorite nights of the year and this year was no exception. got to get all dressed up, meet up with other alumni and got to end the night celebrating my sister’s birthday in our floor length gowns two-stepping at a country bar – not something you see everyday haha!
FIVE: as busy season has started to come to a close i have gotten to spend more time with my huz, which i am sooo grateful for!
