KANSAS CITY FASHION WEEK RUNWAY HIGHLIGHTS.

KANSAS CITY FASHION WEEK RUNWAY HIGHLIGHTS.
The runway shows this season at Kansas City Fashion Week were unreal; all past season have been great but this one outdid them all!  I attended Friday and Saturday’s shows and was lucky enough to see the F/W15 collections from 13 different designers and while each had elements that I loved and appreciated, below I am sharing my top 10 favorite looks.  Trust me, this was hard!  If you are in the area I highly recommend buying a ticket to attend next season, and if you are not in the area I hope you enjoy this highlight reel!

Let’s just go ahead and start with my absolute favorite.  This gown by Whitney Rorah was the standout in my eyes.  In fact three of these top ten were her designs!  This gown was my favorite; the detailing was stunning and the navy color and the shape were timeless and chic.
Kate Walz stuns every year, and the fact that she is younger than me blows my mind every season.  Her pieces are truly works of art and her finale piece was no exception.  Still cannot wrap my head around how she did this one.
The shape of this dress by Lucia’s Sarto is classic while the cutouts and all over leopard sparkles add a modern flare.
Really wanted to take this asymmetrical coat by Architexture home with me.  It actually looked really warm!
That hemline.  That neckline.  This evening gown by Sara Kahrs was a stunner for sure!
Sheer top, pretty bralette and gathered leather by Lauren Bander – yeah I can get behind that!

My current color crush has been ice blue and I fell head over heels for the flow of this gown by Whitney Rorah.
I know that designer Christian Micheal intended this to be a men’s coat but I seriously wanted to snatch it off of him and take it home with me!!  The black and white combined with the quilting was reminiscent of Chanel.

A super interesting dress by Laura Kathleen of Project Runway.  The best way I can describe this one is a backwards apron but in the best way possible!  I thought it was so unique and loved it!
I told you that Whitney Rorah was my standout, so I will end this recap with another one of her beautiful gowns.  This one combines my favorite aspects of the two I mentioned above so of course it was love at first sight!

Congratulations to the Kansas City Fashion Week team on another wildly successful season.  Thank you so much for letting me be a part of the celebration and for helping bring an appreciation for high fashion to the midwest!
