Happy Friday!!! I hope you all had a wonderful week and that it went by quickly. I am currently on PTO visiting my family in California and it surprised me just how quickly I lost track of the days but regardless, I am excited for the weekend because now my sissies won’t be in school and my best friend is flying in to visit on Sunday!! Woohoo!
Some other great moments from the past week…
ONE: Coming home! This is an obvious one but definitely the highlight. I just feel so content here at home and my soul feels at rest. Doesn’t hurt that wine country is so pretty and plus, I love being surrounded by my family, as loud as they are 😉 Plus, I could get used to the glory of not having to work 😉
TWO: Taste of Park Place. Last weekend Matt and I went to this event at a local shopping center where you got to go around to all the restaurants (there were about 15 participating) and sample foods at each one! It was soooo delicious and great because a) we love to eat and b) I love trying lots of things. Definitely recommend that event to anyone in the KC area next time it is held!
THREE: A fun night with friends. Last weekend our friends put together a get together with all our friends at Julep which is this incredible whiskey bar in Westport. I had never been before but knew I would like it just based on the decor haha and it definitely did not disappoint. It’s always so wonderful getting to see so many friends in one place and add in a delicious cocktail and I am all in.
FOUR: The weather here in California. I have said time and time again that I am a cold weather wimp and would much rather be sweating hot than the tiniest bit cold. In fact, I am a freak who kind of likes humidity!! So anyways, it’s been in the high 80s and it has been straight. up. glorious!
FIVE: I was blessed with truly incredible friends in high school so I was so happy to get to meet up with one of my girlfriends for a walk one day this week. Catching up with her was good for my soul!

to be romanced, to play an irreplaceable role in a great adventure, and to unveil beauty.”
