MDW.
At the end of every three day weekend, I think to myself that every weekend should be a three day weekend.  (Actually I usually say this to my husband who goes “Have you mentioned that before?” 😉  It just really doesn’t make sense that we work five days and only get two off.
This past weekend was a great one for us, and I hope it was for you as well!  We got all moved in to our new place (still a bunch of organizing and tidying to do, and trying to figure out how to get everything in our closet) but for the most part it is put together which feels really nice.  We also had time to enjoy a date night, some exploring of our new town, and many long walks around campus.  I absolutely love living on a college campus again because we walk so much – the other night we went on a walk after dinner and did five miles!  Doesn’t hurt that the campus is so gorgeous and basically empty during the summer months so it feels like we have it all to ourselves!
Since it was Memorial Day I donned my red, white, and blue, but to be honest I feel like it’s just a classic summer combination and need not be reserved for holidays.  That being said, a blue and white stripe dress and red flats would make a perfect outfit for Fourth of July.  It may seem early to start thinking of your outfit for the Fourth, but I swear it always sneaks up on me!
