I feel nationally conflicted in this outfit – a classic “Canadian Tuxedo” finished off with the all-American bandana. Regardless, I love the look.
I have been seeing bandanas resurfacing on the internet, blogs and Instagram lately and decided I had to try it for myself. I have been a fan of the silk scarf for years (seen here, here and here) but hadn’t dabbled in the old western bandana yet or at least since I was a kid – bandanas always bring me back to the days of gold rush projects and performances as a kid growing up in California haha! Surprisingly I like the bandana a lot more than I expected and definitely plan to put it in the rotation this summer, in my hair, tied to my bags and worn around my neck like this.
As a styling note, if you are scared to try the denim on denim trend, my formula has always been to use two different shades of denim and if you do that, it’s pretty much foolproof!
