FRIDAY FIVE.

FRIDAY FIVE.

Woof, this week has felt long!  My sleep cycle got all jacked up this week; I didn’t get enough sleep one night, so then went to bed reallllly early the next night and then couldn’t fall asleep the next night because I had slept too much, and back around again.  It was laughable and horrible all at the same time!  Has this ever happened to anyone else?!  Anyways, all of that to say that I am definitely looking forward to the weekend, especially since we have both days free and Matt doesn’t have any projects to work on, yaya!

ONE: First and foremost, we celebrated two years of marriage this week.  We kept it pretty low-key on our actual anniversary since it fell on a Monday this year but spent the whole weekend in Chicago enjoying each other’s company and exploring more of the city which was a blast.  Plus, Matt loved his present so I would call it a success because cotton is hard people!
TWO: Highlights from Chicago included bikeriding along Lake Shore Trail all day Saturday, riding the swings on Navy Pier, and dinner at the Ralph Lauren Restaurant courtesy of a sweet gift from Matt’s parents who love it there.
THREE: Now that I am finally in SB on the weekdays and not traveling to and from KC, it has been so nice being able to meet up with Matt for dinner every night and going on evening walks or bike rides.
FOUR: Got my ND ID card which is super exciting because now I can finally quit being a lazy bum and start working out again.  I say that like I used to work out 😉
FIVE: We have managed to squeeze in ice cream, milkshakes, or brownies to almost every day this week.  Definitely not complaining about that!

Here’s to the weekend!  Hope it holds many more ice cream/milkshake/brownie dates for all of us 😉
