FRIDAY FIVE.

FRIDAY FIVE.
As we head into this holiday weekend, I am looking back on a few moments from this week that made it pretty great…
———————–

ONE: An evening walk around the lake at sunset.  On days that it is nice out, Matt and I make an effort to get outside in the evening, either on a bike ride, run, or walk.  One night in particular we got one of the most beautiful sunsets right as we were going around the lake.  It was reflecting off the water and was just stunning! (The above picture was not filtered, it was just that pretty!)
TWO: Last night Matt and I kicked off our holiday weekend with a minor league baseball game.  Of course Matt loves baseball games of any form, but actually it was a ton of fun!  But OMG we witnessed one of the funniest/strangest things I have ever seen.  It is all on my Snapchat story so be sure to follow me there to see what I am talking about!!  My username is mkpecha (my old last name).
THREE: Over the weekend we made some progress on getting this apartment set up.  We still have a few things to do but it is getting so much closer and it’s got me really excited.  Let me know if you want me to share anything once it is all ready!!
FOUR: I was able to work from home this week which meant more sleep for me, woop woop!  If you know me then you know I need a LOT of sleep (understatement) so that extra hour and a half of not commuting or getting ready (does anyone actually get ready when they work from home?) was for sure spent snoozing and it was glorious.
FIVE: We went back and forth on what to do for the Fourth but finally decided that to roadtrip up and along the Northern Michigan shore so every night this week was spent in bed planning out our little adventure, which has been so fun!  Huge thank you to everyone who commented on my Instagram post with recommendations! As you are reading this, we are probably on the road so be sure to follow along on Instagram (@mkminnis_GHL) to see what fun we get up to! 🙂

As we head into the holiday weekend, I want to extend my sincerest gratitude to all those who serve to keep our country safe and free and all their family members who sacrifice to allow them to do so.
Happy Fourth of July weekend!
