Whenever I am at a loss of what to wear, I naturally go for my newest things, throw them together and hope they work. Which, now that I think about it, is probably the reason for my continuous shopping habit 😉 But anyways, that’s how I came up with this outfit – I was at a loss and reached for my newest Nordstrom Anniversary Sale purchases and my Kendra Scott jewelsand I must say, it came together perfectly!
This swing dress, this wool hat, and these suede booties were some of my purchases from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Sadly the hat is just a little too big on me (I have a tiny head and am also really picky) so I am going to be returning it but I honestly think it’s a great option for anyone else, especially since it reminds me of an Eric Javits one but way cheaper. A LBD is a must year-round and I love the fabric of this one, it’s slinky and soft to the touch but not jersey so it can be dressed up or dressed down and can be styled now and layered for fall. Plus it sways so perfectly! I will admit the booties were still pricey even with the sale, but I justified them because a) I have been looking for low-cut ankle booties in a sandy suede color for over a year and b) the color and cut allows them to be worn year round!

Then to top it all off, I reached for my newest jewels from Kendra Scott’s fall collection that just launched last week. I decided to go out of my comfort zone and get the gunmetal jewels (rather than my usual gold) and I will admit that I thought about regretting that decision… until they arrived. They are so gorgeous and I love that they are darker for fall and winter ensembles. Plus, the dark gunmetal offers such a great contrast to the iridescent jewels!
