During the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I made sure to stock up on a few fall basics that I knew I would get a ton of use out of, just as I do every year. One of those purchases was these booties. Okay, fine, I also got these ones too 😉
I just think they are so gorgeous; I love the rich cognac color, the thick heel for some height, and the buckle detail, and I just couldn’t honestly keep them in my closet for another few months before wearing them! Which is why I figured out a way to transition them for summer. Enter the easiest outfit ever: white jeans and a simple tank. Easy, peasy. I tied in the cognac color with my belt and added some simple jewelry, the main piece being a turquoise necklace because the color is synonymous with summer.
If you haven’t yet bought any booties for fall, I highly recommend doing so. Like I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I find that with fall/winter items, if you wait until it’s time to actually wear the items, they are all sold out. So you end up buying second-rate ones that you don’t love because it’s all that’s available and then still keep your eye open for the ones you actually want and eventually end up with both. Save the money and the frustration and buy ahead! I highly recommend both pairs I bought: these and these.
