Last night I returned home from the trip of a lifetime: my first New York Fashion Week!
I have sooo much to share with you: outfits, recaps, maybe even a New York City/Fashion Week guide, so I hope you don’t hate me if I talk about it for the next two weeks. Since I have so much to share, I figured we might as well hop right into it!

This was one of my favorite looks of the weekend, because it is the perfect “dressed up casual” look. I had my eye on these trousers since last winter, and finally pulled the trigger. They are a little pricey which is why I waited so long to buy, but now I just wish I had bought them sooner! They drape perfectly so that they are extremely flattering and elongating, plus a great weight so that I was cool even in the humid 85 degree weather.
I paired the look with leopard heels and a black hat for a little bit of edge, my backpack which was hands-down my best purchase for the trip, and a trusty chambray with a bralette for just a touch of sex appeal.
I wore this strolling SoHo one morning and afterwards to the Francesca Liberatore show. It was a great look because I felt comfortable, and thus confident. And we all know confidence and a smile are the best accessories.
