During Fashion Week, I had two events on the same day where I knew I was going to be surrounded by a ton of blogger babes: the rewardStyle party, and my friend Krista’s pre-party beforehand. I wanted something that was very “me” since it would be the first time I met a bunch of these girls, and it was very important that no one else would have the same outfit. Since a lot of us shop at the same places and it’s not surprising to see the same pieces on multiple blogs, I went a route I doubted others would: Forever 21 and a little DIY crafting.
When I saw this dress I knew it was the one since it features my favorite combination: long sleeves and mini length. The print and ruffled edges keep it from being boring while the dark colors make it the perfect piece to transition into fall and winter. I then got crafty and fashioned these furry statement heels. I got so many compliments on them that I am actually planning to get a tutorial ready for you guys because they are so easy, completely customizable, and don’t cause any damage to your shoes!Since I got a little too aggressive and wore heels for 12 hours straight the day before and woke up thinking I had blisters covering the entire bottoms of my feet (not even being dramatic), I rocked the booties most of the day and simply changed into my heels for the rS party. Best decision I could have made because it meant I could walk all over the city without wanting to chop my feet off. Sometimes we have to be realistic.
