By now it is common knowledge that boots and booties are fall/winter essentials, but no one knows this better than Midwest and East Coast girls who truly experience cold. Back when I lived in California boots and booties were cute and we used them to make an outfit look more “fall” while the temps were still steadily above 60. But then I moved to the Midwest and found out all too quickly that these were actually used for survival. I exaggerate 😉 but truly once those temps start to drop, you need a shoe that allows you to wear socks (or even two pairs) and ideally is waterproof since you just never know.
I have quite a few pairs of booties but realized recently that I didn’t own a pair of true brown one so I decided to fix that. Enter these CAT “Vivienne” booties. How pretty right?! They also come in a few other colors (the navy really tempted me) and while I love the construction and little details, what I really love is that they are super durable, waterproof and beyond comfy. Honestly, the footbed must be super cushioned because it feels like I am walking on clouds!
For this look, I went quintessential “fall” with the flannel and fisherman sweater, but I know these booties are going to be on repeat many times throughout the season so I am sure you will be seeing them again soon!
