It’s about that time of year when fall is creeping in but depending on where you live, it hasn’t arrived full force. Here up north, we have days that are 75 and sunny but the next day it might be 55 and overcast. For that reason, I haven’t switched out my closet yet; it is still full of all my summer clothes and I’ve been relying on some simple layers to transition what might be considered more summery pieces to make them fall-appropriate.
This is one of my favorite transitional looks: a little white dress, some olive green, and booties. I bet most of you already have these items in your closet, it’s just a matter of mixing and matching. If your dress is short-sleeved or sleeveless, simply switch the utility vest for a jacket, and if it’s cooler, replace the booties with riding boots. I’m not quite ready to give up the long summer days anyways, so a little white dress it is!
Sizing note: This dress runs true to size. I sized up thinking it would be small, and mine is a little too big (hence the belt). However, it is not lined, so you will need a slip!
