Red and olive green is a combination that works year-round but is really fitting right now during the holidays. It’s subtly festive and I’m all about that. I recently received this red dress and about died over the adorable ruffle hem. My initial thought was to dress it up with some strappy heels and statement earrings – perfect for a Christmas party – but when I saw the weather forecast for our trip down to Dallas weekend before last (solid 60s-70s) I had to pack it along. I played up that fall-like weather by layering my new cardigan that I can’t stop wearing (love the oversized fit) and incredibly soft plaid scarf that ties in the red and olive color combination. My new boots were the perfect finishing touch. With that kind of weather, I went with bare legs, but how cute would these boot socks be?!
Also, wanted to quickly touch on my new monogram necklace because like I mentioned last week, monogrammed pieces make great gifts. This one is acrylic rather than metal which I actually love. It’s super lightweight, I don’t have to worry about it tarnishing, and it’s less expensive. Win-win! There are tons of color and font options but I went with the classic gold. I firmly believe that every girl needs at least one monogram necklace, so if you’re looking for a gift for a girl on your list, go with this!
