When the temps drop so low that it hurts to go outside, all I really want to do is carry a blanket around with me everywhere. Unfortunately… not socially acceptable over the age of 5. As my backup plan, I love finding cozy sweaters and coats as well as oversized scarves that provide that same sense of warmth and comfort in a fashion-forward way.
This coat is a dream. It’s super thick, lined with a fluffy fleece fabric, delightfully oversized, long enough to cover your backside, and a beautiful deep grey shade. Plus it has a hood and pockets, which make it a true winner. When wearing oversized tops, I try to keep the bottom half more streamlined with leggings, skinny jeans, or tights. That way the larger size is clearly intentional and I don’t look like I just ate ten too many plates of Christmas cookies. Sadly my exact jeans are sold out but I found an identical pair for you at a similar price point. A pair of ripped jeans can do so much to a look, I am so glad I finally have a blue jean pair so I can give my black pair a rest!
Size Note: This coat is “One Size”. I typically wear a Small (Medium if I want oversized) and am 5’5″. The only thing to note is that since it is one-size, it may be wide on your shoulders. It slips off mine a little bit, but nothing that deters me from wearing it all the time! I may try to take it to a tailor though to bring it in a bit since I don’t mind spending a few dollars when a piece is this inexpensive (I am talking only $30!)
