When it comes to my own personal style, I find it hard to define. Some people can easily identify their style as feminine, or edgy, or classic, or preppy, or casual, but I find that mine is a mixture of them all, preferably all at once – it’s all about the juxtaposition in my eyes.
What’s even better is when pieces incorporate those multiple styles all in one. For example, an oversized blazer is chic while also being casual and these new gold jewels from Kendra Scott with their spiky shape and pave sparkle are equal parts edgy and classic.
Last night Matt and I grabbed dinner and he complimented this outfit, telling me I looked like really professional in the blazer and I joked with him that it was more “California professional” since I paired the blazer with cutoffs haha! But really, I was soooo excited that it was finally warm enough to bring them out since the weather lately has been hovering just above freezing (I’m being dramatic but it’s actually not far from the truth). I lusted after these One Teaspoon shorts for over a year but the price kept me away, but now that I own them I can honestly say they are 100% worth it. They are short, yes, but somehow really flattering. If you’ve been on the fence, do it – just order one size up!
