you may have been seeing some of these “blog tours” around the internet lately. well, i had a few wonderful ladies who mentioned me in theirs and asked me to answer a few questions and so today i am sharing my answers to their questions and paying it forward and sharing three of my favorite ladies with you. so thank you to lyndsay of

what are you working on?
right now i am just trying to grow my blog and share things that i am passionate about, which lately has been a lot of baseball haha. but that’s okay with me, i want this space to be authentic! i am also working on building my network here in the kansas city area, it has been so fun meeting other local bloggers!
how does your work differ from others in its genre?
while GHL is primarily a fashion blog, i like to consider it “life + style” because i want to be able to share whatever bits of my life are currently on my mind. i love being able to look back on my blog and see what things i was interested in and thinking about and doing. so sometimes i will share a playlist, a roundup of links, quotes, travel diaries, sprinkled in with what i enjoy the most: fashion!
why do you write/create what you do?
simply put, because i love it! and also because i needed a creative outlet from my real job as a public accountant.
how does your writing/creating process work?
well i would say i am one of those people who tries to pretend they are organized (it’s expected of an accountant) but really i am not. i always have a thousand lists going and ideas racing through my brain! but the basic process is that on the weekends, we try to shoot three outfits for the next week’s posts and then sundays are spent editing pictures and scheduling as many posts as possible. i almost never get all my posts ready though so then those will be finished in the evenings during the week. not the most glamorous or organized system but hey, i warned you!

runway chef: believe it or not, alyssa and i became blog besties when we realized we both graduated from the same tiny catholic college in small-town kansas,
go ravens! since then we have bonded over our love of food, fashion and of course, our alma mater! 😉 as you might guess from her blog name, she shares fashion posts as well as amazzzzing food recipes – i constantly have a list going of recipes of hers that i want to try!

willivia: i first discovered olivia’s sweet lifestyle blog through a best friend from home who actually went to college with olivia’s now-husband and told me i had to check it out. once i saw her sweet smiling face and read their love story i was totally hooked! i go to olivia’s blog for motivation in being a better wife, friend, daughter and to get fun decorating, baking, or date night ideas.

polka dots and sailor stripes: ashley is just the cutest thing and i absolutely adore her california style. she nails that effortless look that everyone wants and is never afraid to try anything, she takes so many fashion risks and i love her for it, she nails it every time. doesn’t hurt that she has the most infectious smile either or the greatest hair, seriously what’s your secret ash?!
