FRIDAY FIVE.

FRIDAY FIVE.
Yay, made it to Friday!  It’s been so fun being back in Kansas City this week (and not having any work to focus on).  Between seeing friends and family, to eating some of our favorite foods, and being back on our college campus, it’s been a week to remember and we are looking forward to rooting on our KC Royals tonight and celebrating our college’s homecoming this weekend with friends.  But before I get ahead of myself, five things that stood out this week…

——————-

ONE: Last night Matt and I went out for a date night in Kansas City and had the best time hopping from place to place.  First we hit up happy hour at McCormick and Schmick’s for drinks on the patio, then popped over to The Jacobson for drinks and apps, and then finished up with ramen and bubble tea at Columbus Park Ramen Shop.  In the end, we spent the same as if we had just gone to one nice dinner, but it was way more fun to visit so many places, both new ones and old favorites.
TWO: After years of loving Kendra Scott’s line, I finally got to step foot in a storefront!  The Kansas City store opened shortly after we moved which was really disappointing so I was really excited to get to see it, play around with the Color Bar, and play around with the new winter collection.
THREE: Last weekend Matt’s whole family came to visit us in South Bend and we all got to go to the ND v. USC game which was an emotional roller coaster but so much fun – especially since we won 😉  I will say though that it was fuh-reezing, like below 32 degrees.  It was insane because the weekend before, I wore a sundress to the game and even got a sunburn in the outline of my crossbody bag haha!
FOUR: I forgot how well Kansas City does fall until we got back.  The trees are all changing colors but it’s still over 70 degrees most days.  It took leaving for me to really appreciate it, this past week has been dreamy!
FIVE: Earlier this week, Matt and I met with some Finance and Accounting students to talk about our careers and share our tips to land great jobs, and then I also got to talk with some great girls who have blogs.  I always love the chance to try to help others and also to give back to this school that I love so much for all that it gave me!
