While we are all a little bummed we didn’t win the Powerball, I hope you all had a great week regardless! 😉 Personally, I am so glad it is Friday because this weekend I am finalizing some fun changes here on Gold-Hatted Lover which you will see when you come check in on Monday morning – I can’t wait and hope you love them as much as I do!
Five highlights from the past week…

ONE: Since I work from home most of the week, there are often days when I don’t get outside. I’m thankful for a husband that always orders a nightly walk no matter how cold it is. It’s so nice to bundle up, enjoy that time together, and get some fresh air.
TWO: After hearing rave reviews about this apparently magical face mask I decided to order it. For $8 I figured it was worth a shot. Well folks, the reviews aren’t kidding this stuff is amazing! I followed up with my favorite face oil and my skin felt so clean and supple; it felt like I had just gotten a spa facial!
THREE: This year I am trying to focus more on investing in classic staple pieces for my wardrobe. I will never be able to say no to all trendy pieces because I love having fun with fashion, but alas, the classics are classics for a reason. My recent additions that I am really pleased about: great-fitting white jeans, the perfect blue skinny jeans, a light trench, black pumps that don’t hurt my feet, a long white tee, a ladylike lace dress, and high-quality foundation that matches my skin perfectly.
FOUR: On Wednesday night, I got to go to my first Notre Dame basketball game. While not nearly as fun as the football games (can anything be?) it was still so fun putting on my ND gear and cheering on the Irish. Plus at least basketball games are inside so I didn’t have to worry about weather 😉
FIVE: It’s been snowing nearly every day this week and I can’t get over how beautiful it is! I never, ever thought I would say this but I am going to miss the cold and snow after this year!
