Sorry I have been MIA the past few days! “Busy season” at work is keeping me very well, busy, and since we were in Kansas City all weekend, I didn’t have time to get things prepped for the blog this week. That said, I want to introduce you to my new favorite piece in my closet: this navy trench vest.
I honestly wish it was available in more colors because I would buy them all! The fit is fantastic, the fabric is a really nice weight, and it looks good both unbottoned and buttoned (which I also included above so you can see). Vests are a great third piece that can really add interest to an outfit – after all, this really is just jeans and a white tee.
Truth be told, I wore this exact outfit twice over the weekend. I wore it on the plane to KC (it made a great travel outfit because all the layers could be really easily removed for security) and then again on Sunday for walking around the city and eating lunch outside with the fam – it was 70 degrees!!! Once it gets warm enough up here, I can’t wait to wear it over a LWD!
