Early Spring is awkward because it’s sunny and we are all more than ready to ditch the winter gear, but it’s still pretty chilly! Paired with an all-white ensemble, a pink coat provides the necessary warmth while still keeping the Spring dream alive.
I’m honestly not sure how I never owned a pastel-colored coat before this year. In the past I either a) wore a black wool coat and felt depressed at the lack of color while trying to celebrate “Spring” or b) didn’t wear the coat and held back tears because I was so cold – neither being a good option.
While we were in Dallas over the weekend, this look proved to be the perfect ensemble, everything from the coat down to the shoes. When Matt and I visit new places, we do A LOT of walking – it’s our preferred way to see and experience new locales. So when he saw that all I packed were these new shoes, he was a little concerned that halfway through the day I would be begging for a break. Happy to report that wasn’t the case at all! These oxfords have a slightly squishy footbed so they are insanely comfortable and didn’t require any “break-in” period – insert praise hands!
Unfortunately my exact coat is nearly sold out, but it is available in a pink + grey colorblock version that is super cute! I recommend sizing up.
