Back with another round of clean beauty reviews! This time around I’m sharing the clean foundation I adore, my take on a cult favorite, an everday favorite for some serious GLOW, and a product that did not impress.
Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Flawless Serum Foundation
While not a daily foundation-wearer, this one is my go-to for special events or date nights. It has an incredibly lightweight, natural feel and gives a glowy, dewy finish that makes your skin look super healthy; it’s like a tall glass of water for your face.
Since it is made without silicones, the formula separates when sitting out (which I actually find really comforting) so make sure to shake it before use.
Weleda Skin Food
The jury is still out on this one. The Weleda Skin Food is a cult favorite and when I posted it to Instagram Stories, I had quite a few people reach out sharing their love for it. I’ve been using it as a hand cream before I go to bed, and it feels really good and thick and leaves my hands moisturized, but it hasn’t cured my dry hands. I did try it one night as a night cream as some suggested and it was pretty good but I think I prefer the Jet Lag mask for that purpose.
Jane Iredale Glow Time Full Coverage Mineral BB Cream with SPF 25
The name of this BB cream is no lie: this stuff will make your skin GLOW!
So many things to love about this product.
- It lives up to the name by providing a really pretty glow. Not sparkly per se, but a noticeable shimmer.
- I appreciate anything that includes SPF so I can cut out a step and also apply less products to my face.
- The coverage is fantastic. I wouldn’t say full coverage (I would choose the Juice Beauty one for a night out), but for an everyday BB cream it is excellent.
- Really nice consistency that glides on easily. I apply with a beauty blender (this one is my holy grail) but you could probably just as easily use your fingers.
Tata Harper Volumizing Lip & Cheek Tint in Very Charming
I was looking to replace my favorite Clinique chubby stick with a similar cream option but no matter how many times I try, I can’t seem to figure out the trick with this Tata Harper one. While the color is beautiful – a subtle rose shade – the consistency is strange and does not apply evenly. It catches in places along my cheeks so I end up with patches of pigment – not a good look. May the search continue!
